A Year In Review
January 2025 newsletter
Happy New Year! A new year means new flowers, new ways to enjoy Flax Hollow Farm Blooms and new ideas. Before I get started on all the news I wanted to take a minute to review the 2024 year.
bridesmaids bouquets for a may wedding
2024 felt jammed packed looking back. Often repeating my motto of “Growing is never comfortable.” I truly believe I leaned into this mindset and it pushed my business in new exciting ways. I tried to say yes to every unique opportunity I was offered. Things like creating all the florals for beautiful May wedding, creating curated DYI designer buckets for local proms and school events, running our weekly build your own bouquet bar at the farm, hosting my first on farm event- our now annual CSA members Flower Fest, building new connections with local floral designers, florists and farmers. All of these unique experiences have helped me to learn what I truly love about flower farming and are helping me to shape my business for the year of 2025.

I love growing flowers! Playing in the dirt, watching my little seeds sprout into gorgeous blooms that bring joy and beauty into your home. It was so rewarding to foster the many relationships with my customers retail and wholesale. Seeing the bouquets people built at our Friday Flowers Pop-ups and the stunning floral work my wholesale customers put together for large scale events. I like to think that through these connections I've played a role in creating memorable experiences in your life.

Keeping it dirty
In 2025 I'm thrilled to be continuing the Flax Hollow Farm CSA, bringing back our Friday Flower Pop-ups at the Farm and expanding our offers to our wholesale clientele. If you haven't already checked out the CSA tab on our website and learn how you could become an official Flax Hollow Farm CSA member and all that our membership has to offer. CSA memberships are limited with a third of 2025 memberships already claimed, they will be available until March 1st or until sold out.

I've made a couple of updates to the website including an updated bio, our new blog page where you’ll find all our newsletter posted for the 2025 year. I’ll be launching a new Friday Flower pop-ups page and new product page as we get closer to the start of flower season this spring. . In 2024 I received lots of appreciation for the newsletter and though as a dyslexic it's not my favorite thing to put together, it can feel tedious and time consuming. As a dyslexic I often feel self conscious of my writing but I do love sharing my stories with you all and enjoying looking back at them as a reference for all that I have done in the year. So I'm pushing myself to try and write one newsletter monthly to be posted here on and be sent on the first of each month. The new Friday Flower pop-up pages will also be updated monthly with all dates the stand will be open that month- expecting our first one to be in the beginning of April. The new product page is where I'll be offering a couple of new ways to enjoy our flowers including mason jars bouquets and DYI designer buckets- great ways to enhance any special event you're hosting with fresh local seasonable blooms straight from the farm to your home.

Until next month I'll be busy placing seed orders, starting our first flowers of the year including ranunculus and lisianthus and growing up a very special surprise to share with you all in February. Once again thank you for support in 2024 I couldn't have done it without you! Looking forward to another great year!
