Spring is about to get sprung
Thank you to everyone for your well wishes and congratulations about our little farm baby! Blueberry is officially a month old this past week and my husband and I have been trying to enjoy every moment of it. This time of year always feels endless as I wait for spring to arrive but with blueberry the time feels like it’s breezing by, February has never felt so short.

In addition to all the baby cuddles this past month I’ve been starting seedlings with the intern and supervising the first transplanting of the year. The ranunculus are happily tucked into the ground of the greenhouse. Our first big round of seed starting was accomplished this past week. This first ground of seeds has been most new flowers I’m trying out this year. Things like lisanthus, delphinium and campanula. Next week we’ll prioritize the rest of our cooler flowers and long season blooms. Things like snapdragons, larkspur and asters.

These new flowers are not the only new things I have to announce. I’m making some additions to our offerings this year and updates to the website. You’ll now be able to check out our monthly line up for Friday Flower Pop-Ups under the Friday Flower pop-up tab on the website. I’m offering two new ways to enjoy our flowers in addition to our CSA membership. I’ll be offering a DIY design bucket- this will include approximately 100-120 of our field fresh blooms for your floral arrangements creation. I’ll also be offering mason jar arrangements to order as well. These will be quart size jars pre-arranged with our fresh season blooms. These are a perfect option for creating a little extra magic for events this season, things like anniversary parties, small scale wedding, proms or really any event your looking to make a little more special. Full price list and details on how to order coming to the website later this month.

Until next month we’ll be enjoying some more down time with the baby, starting lots more seeds, waiting for daffodils to bloom and building our new walk in cooler for flower storage this season.
Until the flowers bloom,
Caelin G-S
P.S. looking forward to seeing you all in April for our Friday Flower Pop-up!
